A collaboration piece between me and a deviantART artist I just met – Sethard. Seth did the lines, and I threw my colors in to it. We’re gonna do a lot more collabs like this in the future.

Spider Bat Avenger

This time last year, I came up with Captain Thor Lantern in celebration for the 4 superheroes movies that summer. This year, I present to you:

"SPIDER BAT AVENGER"

Guess you guys already know what this is about. Of course, this is a crazy-ass combination between the 3 superheroes blockbuster this summer: The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Avengers.

"Peter Wayne was born into a billionaire family, but he lost his parents in an tragic and mysterious murder, their family business was broke, and he's spent his entire life with his Uncle Ben Wayne and Aunt May Wayne.

Since he was a boy, Peter showed that he's a genius in engineering, and he built his own business on that. One day, his company was commissioned some weapons for the government in the wars. When he was showing his weapons on the battlefield, he was ambushed and abducted by some terrorists and was severely wounded in his heart. In order to save himself, Peter designed an armor with the shape of a bat, the kind of animal that inhabitted in the cave he was held up.

When he came back home, he stopped making weapons, volunteered into a super-soldier project in order to develop his armor. He then upgraded his armor some new features like: flying, shoot spider-webs, lightning hammer, high-accracy arrows. Aside from all of that, the nuclear reactor in his chest changed his DNA, gave him a green skin, a 6th sense and increase his physical strength.

With these powers, he fought against Loki Skull, Joker Goblin, Lizard Bane,... and saved the world several times."

---------------------------
Sunday At The Park is a short-comic project I've been working on for the last 4 months. The writer Jesse Young ([link]) wrote the script based on the poem "Casey At The Bat" by Ernest Thayer, and hired me for the job, when he thought my drawing style fits the story the best.

I decided to
use this script in my final assignment for the Perspective class by Joko Budiono that I took last semester at the AAU and it paid off well. But not until now I got the time to finish the colors and let the professional letterer Thomas Mauer ([link]) to blow his magic into it.

So here it is, the first short-comic that I've ever felt really satisfied with.

Scooby-Doo

Finally, I'm done with this one. Drawing for the AAU Comic book club's challenge: Draw a Saturday Morning Cartoon in your own style. I chose Scooby-Doo not because I was a big fan of it, I liked it, but I wasn't a fan, but because it's one of the most iconic Saturday Morning Cartoons ever made by Hanna-Babera. The classic version was hilarious even though animation was not that good.

By the way, if you guys do have a facebook, please take a look at my facebook page where I post many interesting things that I don't post here. Here's the link to my profile http://www.facebook.com/hahuyhoang.art

The Woot: Wrath of the Bunnivor

It's been a long time since I did something for my original characters. So here's something for the characters I made up for a project that has never been scripted - The Woot. This is kind of a concept for a story where Bunnivor goes riot on the Time Forest, where Woot and Chitty have been protecting for quite a long time. This is also for the challenge from the AAU Comic Book Club, the topic is to do something other than Marvel and DC Comics characters.

Batman Redesign

These are some re-designs for the characters from Batman. This is what I always think people would dress up like when I choose to fight crimes at night. It's a little bit more realistic but still have some cartoony-ness in it.

These designs were featured on Project: Rooftop ---- http://www.tencentticker.com/projectrooftop/2012/11/29/pr-redesign-ha-huy-hoangs-batman-collection/

My Little Mushroom

A short animation practice I did with my personal character - Little Mushroom, which is also my girlfriend's persona.

I used Photoshop CS 5.5 and After Effects. The song is Again by Secrets in Stereo

The Wacky Avengers Animation

A short animation project I did in around a week all by myself, only for practicing purpose. I did these animation based on the designs from a fan art I did for the movie The Avengers that came out in Summer 2012. I didn't do Black Widow because I became too exhausted and because I didn't think of anything interesting enough for her.

The soundtrack is "Fight As One" by Bad City, which is the soundtrack from the animated series "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes".

I used the animation feature in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe After Effects CS6.

All characters belong to Marvel Entertainment.

This animation is only for educational purpose, no commercial use.
